ready for vacation!

only 3 more weeks of class, and one week of finals, and i'm on vacation! 2.5 weeks off is going to feel sooo nice. i know i'll probably have tons of stuff packed into that time, but at least i know i'll be home for the next 6 months. moving sucks.

this weekend was fun. i love love love having 3 day weekends. i'm doing this every term from now on, as long as i can. saturday night was girls night out at duffers. me, dorothy, becky, anne and christina met up there and had a good old time. bars are expensive, but it was well worth the fun we had. becky turned me on to buttery nipples, which are delicious! it's definately a shot i can take all at once. and purple popsicles are pretty good too. all in all, a fun night.

sunday was spent relaxing and recovering. i really meant to get down and see my brother and amie and nephews, but that didn't happen. at least her mom was there to keep her company. i feel bad because she's so far from the rest of her family :( i also meant to go and see my grandmom and grandpop too...oh well. i think i will add them to my list of people to see over my break.

things have been pretty boring lately. which i don't mind. it's better than having drama for a week at a time. watch, tomorrow something dramatic will happen, and i'll be kicking myself for jinxing it. my mom just got back from idaho and she loved it. she went to see my aunt linda that lives out there with her other sister (my aunt ruthann). they went to Yellowstone national park, and a white water rafting and a bunch of other stuff. she sounded like she had a great time, and i'm glad. at least one of us gets to travel :) but my grandpop did the same thing when he was my mom's age...traveled around the world and went on all kinds of trips. it must run in my family. i might not be able to wait until i'm 50 to go see that stuff though.

i really want to find a new dress for this wedding on saturday, but i'm so lazy! i went to kohl's cause i had a giftcard, but they had no dresses at all. not a single one. and dorothy advised me against a skirt and shirt combo (which i wasn't too keen on anyway), so i have to go out this friday and find one. or i could just wear my little black dress that works for every occasion. i'm in the mood for a new one though.
